Erasmus +

Since 1987, Erasmus+ has been a flagship programme of the European Union. CESI Ecole d’Ingénieurs has held the Erasmus+ Charter since 2007 and renews its accreditation every seven years. The current programme, covering the 2021–2027 period, is more inclusive, digital, and environmentally conscious, aligning closely with CESI’s institutional values and strategic vision. It offers lifelong learning opportunities and increased flexibility for participants across all age groups.

Mobility and Cooperation across Europe

CESI offers its students the opportunity to participate in one or more mobility programs with Erasmus+. Created in 1987, the Erasmus+ program contributes to the development of a European Higher Education Area by working on several operational objectives:

  • Improving quality and strengthening the European perspective in higher education
  • Increasing student, teacher and academic staff mobility
  • Strengthening multilateral cooperation between higher education institutions and between higher education institutions and companies
  • Improving transparency and recognition of qualifications acquired in higher education and higher vocational training in Europe

The first major European initiative, Erasmus+ promotes mobility actions in Europe for students (study or work study periods), teaching staff (teaching assignments) and all staff in higher education institutions (training periods).

Erasmus+ also encourages cooperation between higher education institutions through the development of intensive programs, networks and multilateral projects. In France today, all French universities participate in Erasmus+, as do most non-university higher education institutions.

International mobility of our students’ engineers

Since 2007, CESI has been a subscriber to the Erasmus+ charter for higher education, whereby it joins the scheme funded by Erasmus+. It thus offers eligible students financial support for their mobility in Europe.

CESI is a beneficiary of the charter for the new 2021-2027 program. The budget for this new program has been set at 26 billion euros, almost double that of the previous program!

Erasmus+ is adapting to major contemporary challenges by focusing on three priorities: inclusion, digital and ecology.

Mobilities outside Europe are financed for a maximum of 3 months (internship and studies).

Please note:

The mobility declaration does not guarantee the award of an Erasmus+ grant. To find out more about the policy for awarding grants for the current campaign, see the conditions for obtaining a grant above, or the notices posted in your campus.

Erasmus+ mobility declaration

All students who spend several months in one of the program’s destinations as part of their CESI degree must submit an Erasmus+ mobility declaration.

Mobility declarations must be sent to the Erasmus+ correspondent on the CESI campus where you are registered, before your departure.

The Erasmus+ coordinator on your CESI campus will help you apply for an Erasmus+ grant and will take part in the award committee.

National Erasmus+ coordinator: Karine Gourlet

Local correspondent: please contact your campus.

Staff mobility

The Erasmus+ program offers the possibility to finance periods of teaching or training abroad for our staff (teaching, administrative, technical…). This mobility also makes it possible to have support to bring in employees from foreign companies.
