Anti-corruption code of conduct

Corruption is reprehensible in most countries of the world. It seriously harms CESI interests, its values, its reputation and its image.

An act of corruption is an act by which a person, within the framework of his functions, solicits or accepts a gift, an offer or a promise with a view to carrying out, delaying or omitting to carry out an act, directly or indirectly. Corruption is an offense.

Corruption requires at least two people (it can also be more):

  • Person X will offer or ask for any advantage,
  • And person Y will accept this request or this advantage and favor X.

Whether the corruption is active or passive, the corruptor and the corrupt both violate their professional duties and French criminal laws.

French law has established obligations for legal entities under private or public law to fight against corruption. These include the “Sapin II” law of December 9, 2016 relating to transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernization of economic life, and the “Waserman” law of March 21, 2022 aimed at improving protection of whistleblowers.

To comply with these laws, CESI has implemented an anti-corruption code of conduct, which is annexed to its internal regulations. This code of conduct is available to everyone for download by clicking below. As French law does not require translation, it is up to non-French speakers to translate it themselves using any translation tool of their choice.
