As part of its international development strategy, a CESI delegation visited China in April 2025 to take part in the Choose France tour, organized by Campus France. This key initiative culminated with the Choose France Education Fair in Beijing, attended by Stefan Seiler, Director of International Development at CESI.

A strategic tour across several Chinese cities

The delegation took the opportunity to meet with several Chinese universities, with the aim of strengthening existing partnerships and initiating new academic collaborations. Some partnerships have already been established through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) or student exchange agreements, while others are still being negotiated, including ambitious joint programme projects such as the 3+2 model.

These partnerships will enable students to complete three years of study in China

followed by two years in France, and earn a double degree recognised in both countries.” – Laurianne Giteau, International Relations Officer Ile-de-France-Centre region.

Academic exchange on the rise

The mission included visits to several universities, notably in Chengdu. Partner institutions, including Chengdu Technological University (CDTU), are expected to visit CESI in the near future.

An acceleration of these partnerships is anticipated in 2025–2026, with CESI welcoming its first Chinese students across its campuses. In the medium term, the school also aims to send its own students to China for exchange semesters, Summer Schools or joint programs.

A promising dynamic

This dynamic opens up new opportunities for student mobility and helps consolidate CESI’s partner network across Asia.
