On March 18, 2025, as part of the National Week Against Racism and Discrimination, CESI—represented by Stefan Seiler, Director of International Development—participated in a major international webinar hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Represented by Luis Garcia Espinal, an expert in evaluation and impact strategy, the Foundation presented its global efforts to improve access to healthcare and fight HIV in over 95 countries.
Discussions on innovation, youth, and global health challenges
The event brought together students and members of the academic community to discuss several key issues:
- The use of technological innovation (drones, mobile apps, digital platforms) to improve access to treatment;
- The role of young people, especially engineers, in designing high-impact social projects;
- The global impact of HIV and the Foundation’s concrete actions in the fight against it.
Through this dialogue, CESI reaffirmed its mission to educate globally minded engineers who are aware of their role in driving social and health-related transformation.
