From March 24 to 27, 2025, CESI took part in the APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) conference- one of the three major global events dedicated to university cooperation, alongside EAIE (Europe) and NAFSA (North America). This edition was held in New Delhi, India, and brought together more than 2,000 representatives from higher education institutions from around the world.

A key moment for international cooperation

Every year, CESI participates in these major events to strengthen its internationalisation strategy. APAIE offers a unique opportunity to make new contacts, maintain existing partnerships, and stay informed on global trends in higher education and research.

During the 2025 edition, Alexandre Phan, Head of International Relations (Eastern Region), and Stefan Seiler, Director of International Development, represented CESI. They had the opportunity to:

  • Meet with a wide range of universities, mainly from the Asia-Pacific region, but also from other parts of the world.
  • Engage in exploratory discussions on student exchanges, trainings in a laboratory and future collaborative research projects.
  • Strengthen links with existing academic partners such as the University of Jaén (Spain), ELTE (Budapest), and the University of Žilina (Slovakia), with a focus on continuous improvement of existing collaborations.

Showcasing the french “Grande École” model

In addition to networking sessions and conferences, CESI also participated in a poster session to highlight the French “grandes écoles” model. The objective was to raise awareness among international universities about the unique features and academic excellence of this system, and to highlight the tangible benefits of partnering with an institution such as CESI.

Gaining new skills and preparing for the future

Beyond the institutional meetings, CESI delegation attended several conferences and workshops on international cooperation and broader issues related to the internationalisation of higher education and research. These discussions help strengthen the expertise of CESI’s international teams and better anticipate future developments in the field.
