In February 2026, a CESI delegation traveled to Cameroon to meet with its educational partners, visit local secondary schools, and promote the school’s international programs. This mission, rich in exchanges, was led by Laurianne Giteau, Head of International Relations, Cécile Bastide, International Admissions and Student Services Officer, and Philippe Rigaud, Faculty Member and Academic Program Lead. The visit helped strengthen relationships with key education stakeholders and prepare for the arrival of future Cameroonian students.
Participation in Education Fairs and Partner Visits
The visit began with participation in the SEF (Études en France) education fair in both Douala and Yaoundé. This provided an opportunity for the CESI team to meet with prospective students and their families, present the school’s programs, and increase CESI’s visibility in Central Africa.
Key visits included:
RIIS, a partner institution that has hosted CESI’s first preparatory program cohort since 2023. The delegation met with students, presented CESI’s programs, and began interviews for the next academic year.
Prépa Internationale (PI), where discussions focused on academic pathways for students wishing to pursue their studies in France. CESI maintains an open partnership while presenting its programs to prospective candidates.
Saint-Jean Ingénieurs, a partner institution accredited by the CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) for engineering programs, with which CESI collaborates on double degrees and academic exchanges. Future initiatives were discussed, including Erasmus+ KA171 projects and the organization of Summer Schools.
Strengthened Collaboration with Campus France Cameroon
The delegation also met with Mr Awono, Director of Campus France in Douala, to learn about new procedures and explore joint initiatives, such as organising webinars for Cameroonian students applying to French programs. These discussions helped reinforce cooperation and ensure students receive efficient, responsive support.
The mission in Cameroon provided an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, meet with students in preparatory classes, and anticipate the needs of prospective students for the upcoming academic year. CESI reaffirms its commitment to thoughtful, sustainable international development strategies that serve students and educational partners alike.
