ANGOULÊME, THE FIRST CESI CAMPUS IN FRANCE TO OPEN THE PROGRAM

At CESI, everything is organized to allow international students to adapt, at their own pace, to the way higher education works in France. Our teams are committed to helping them prepare for their arrival in France and their integration into the CESI Graduate School of Engineering, in particular thanks to the Care Program, where students are supported in their academic career by a student ‘buddy’ throughout the school year.

For the new 2023 academic year, CESI Graduate School of Engineering has decided to go one step further, in line with its values of social advancement, by setting up the French Engineering Pathway: a program dedicated to both French speaking and non-French speaking international students holding an undergraduate degree (bac +2), so that they can prepare for engineering studies and adapt to French culture during one school year thanks to an adapted training pace.

For several years, CESI Graduate School of Engineering in Angoulême has been welcoming many foreign students. This year, nearly thirty students from countries including Benin, Cameroon, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco have arrived at the CESI campus in Angoulême to join the very first CESI class of the French Engineering Pathway.

French Engineering Pathway: a program for international students

PREPARE YOUR ADMISSION TO TRAINING FOR BEING AWARDED A FRENCH ENGINEERING DEGREE, RECOGNIZED WORLDWIDE

French engineering schools are renowned for their premium training programmes. By enrolling at CESI to obtain an engineering degree, international students will be able to acquire the knowledge and skills that will turn them into renowned professionals in engineering.

With the French Engineering Pathway, foreign students dedicate one year to adapting to the French culture, fully grasping the school’s teaching methods, and further developing their essential knowledge for their admission to the Graduate Program of Engineering.

PREPARE FOR ENGINEERING STUDIES WITH AN ADAPTED TRAINING PACE

The French Engineering Pathway takes place over one year. During the first two trimesters, training is provided in the morning only. Like this, international students have the opportunity to dedicate their afternoons to a work-study job and/or any other extra-curricular activity. It’s a chance to discover and embrace French culture, but also to get a source of income!

At the end of the Engineering Pathway, a two-month internship in a company is mandatory for students wishing to continue their studies and join the school’s Graduate Program of Engineering, also allowing them to gain a first professional experience in France and to create a network

TRAINING GOALS

  • To provide students wishing to enrol in an engineering program with the scientific base and the language skills they need to pursue their engineering studies
  • Adapting to the requirements of engineering studies
  • Developing the human qualities necessary for future engineers
  • Supporting students in their training project by making them discover the school’s majors
  • Acquiring project management techniques
  • Gaining a first professional experience in a company
