The Erasmus Days were held on 12 October at CESI. Our students experienced a morning full of information, presentations and pleasant moments together.

Activities held during Erasmus Day

Several campuses have stepped up to offer students a wide range of activities. All countries of the world were in the spotlight thanks to a decoration that highlighted the international aspect. Students from Dijon, Nancy, Reims, Strasbourg, Nanterre, Toulouse and Pau watched the screening of Bigger Than Us, a documentary about young people’s commitment to society in seven countries.

In addition, to help students learn more about Erasmus countries, games and quizzes were organised on different campuses: Kahoot on the different flags in Reims and Time’s Up in English in Saint-Nazaire.

As for Toulouse, the pink city, themed breakfasts were organised every morning from 9 to 14 October. Each day was dedicated to a country. Several interventions took place: two students who went to Canada under a mobility scheme shared their academic path with us, the Adiona group shared its advice on the theme ‘How to find your traineeship abroad’, and the association Maison de l’Europe presented Erasmus. Finally, a Blind test on international music kept the campus lively over these few days.

Perspectives regarding the international aspect

Erasmus Days are an opportunity for our students to discover Erasmus international mobility offers. On the Le Mans campus and at the ISMANS CESI school, students were able to find out more about V.I.E., the International Internship Programme, a way of starting their careers abroad. In Rouen, the campus welcomed the Mouvement Européen association, which discussed European issues and the European elections with students. The association explained to our aspiring engineers how to get on the electoral register and vote by proxy. In order to give young people an appetite for international mobility, students from countries in Europe, Asia and Africa presented their countries and their schools. In Toulouse, partners such as Société Générale and SMERRA came to present their international mobility offers.

Students had a really good time. They enjoyed these information exchanges, which they found interesting. There’s no doubt about it: Erasmus Days were a huge success this year!
