From 9 to 12 September, CESI participated in the European Association for International Education’s (EAIE) annual conference, which was held in Gothenburg, Sweden this year.
This major event in the field of international higher education brought together thousands of academic stakeholders from around the world to discuss cooperation, mobility and pedagogical innovation.
Fruitful exchanges with TEC de Monterrey and the European E³UDRES² alliance
One of the highlights of this year’s conference for CESI was the meeting with representatives of Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. This discussion enabled significant progress to be made on a double-degree project between the two institutions within a program supported by the French Embassy in Mexico. These exchanges pave the way for new opportunities in student mobility and academic cooperation with a world-renowned university.
CESI also met with members of the E³UDRES² alliance (Engaged European Entrepreneurial University as a Driver for Smart and Sustainable Regions), coordinated by St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in Austria. This exchange made it possible to identify new avenues for collaboration within a European network committed to innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
New partnership opportunities with Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
Another key moment of CESI’s participation at EAIE conference was a meeting with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. These promising discussions could lead to CESI’s first double-degree programme in Spain, centred on embedded systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). This partnership would further enrich CESI’s international offering in scientific and technological fields.
Latin America at the Heart of the Exchanges
Beyond scheduled meetings, EAIE provides opportunities for informal encounters and new avenues for collaboration. During the conference, CESI engaged with representatives from universities in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia, including at an after-work event organised by a Colombian university. These discussions contribute to strengthening CESI’s presence in Latin America, a strategic region for the development of its academic partnerships.
A key event for CESI, EAIE 2024 highlights its international dynamic and its ambition to develop large-scale academic partnerships for its students and faculty. Thanks to these exchanges, new dual degree programs and European alliances are taking shape, consolidating CESI’s position as a committed player in international education and research.
