On April 7, CESI had the honour of participating in the French-Egyptian Forum on Scientific and Academic Cooperation, held at Cairo University. This large-scale event, which gathered nearly 3000 participants, took place in the presence of Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic.

Strengthening international cooperation

The ceremony was attended by Ministers of Higher Education and Research—Philippe Baptiste for France and Mohamed Ayman Ashour for Egypt—who underscored the value of international academic cooperation, especially for the youth of both nations.

CESI’s new strategic partnerships

On this occasion, CESI took a significant step forward in its international development by signing two Memorandums of Understanding with the French University in Egypt (UFE) and the Egypt University of Informatics (EUI).

Signed by Stefan Seiler, CESI’s Director of International Development, on behalf of Jean-Marc Ogier, these agreements pave the way for strategic collaborations such as dual degree programs, student and faculty exchanges, academic mobility, and joint research initiatives. Both UFE and EUI expressed strong enthusiasm to swiftly integrate their students into CESI’s engineering programs.

Expanding opportunities for CESI’ students

These partnerships also open up two high-quality academic destinations for CESI students. From now on, engineering students can consider studying in Cairo, whether as part of an exchange program, a dual degree, or another mobility project. Both universities offer on-site accommodation, making the transition easier for CESI students and academic staff.

This collaboration between CESI and Egyptian universities marks the beginning of a long-term academic and scientific partnership. The aim is to train engineers with an international outlook, to share knowledge and to develop high-impact projects for tomorrow’s societies, both in France and in Egypt.
