Foundation years admission methods

If you are a French-speaking or English-speaking international student, depending on your profile and academic level, you can follow one of our pathways leading to the CESI Engineering Degree.

Engineering Degree Program Preparatory Year

Academic prerequisites:

  • French-speaking international students who have successfully completed two years of higher education abroad , after being awarded the diploma confirming their completion of secondary education (equivalent to the French baccalaureate).
  • The training program taken during these two years must be scientific and technical: Advanced Technician Diploma or equivalent, general or vocational Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree.

Language prerequisites: B1 level in French.

Admission: Admission is based on academic results and a motivational interview conducted by the school’s national admissions panel.

Applications are open until June 15, 2026.

If you are preparing for or have completed two years of higher education abroad in a country affiliated with the Études en France (EEF) program, please submit your application on the Études en France platform and on our website.


If you are preparing for or have completed two years of higher education abroad in a country not covered by the Études en France procedure (particularly European Union countries), please submit your application on our website.


Application fees: International candidates are exempt from application fees.

Tuition fees: Tuition fees for international candidates are €6 500 per year.

Pre-Master’s Pathway, in partnership with the “N+I” network

Academic prerequisites: : international students holding a Bachelor’s Degree level diploma in the fields of industry or information technology.

Language prerequisites: A2 level in French.

Admission: students must apply to one Master’s Degree in Engineering program on the N+I platform. The Pre-Master’s program is for candidates who have already received an offer of admission from an engineering school that is part of the network and which requires the student to successfully pass a transition year before enrolling in their Master’s Degree program.

Application fees: International candidates are exempt from application fees.

Tuition fees: Tuition fees for international candidates are €10 100 per year.
